Startup

Asian Utility Week 2017 is a large scale expo dedicated to helping utilities in their digital transformation journey whilst building customer centricity. We know that electrical utility business strategies are changing to better manage distributed generation based services while also seeking to better engage with customers – whether residential or C&I. The show also attracts large energy users as they now have voice in decision making of how their energy is being managed and where it is sourced from. Utilities seek start-ups to provide valued products and solutions to customers, large energy users seek products that can help them achieve energy efficiency targets.

Last year, we featured 15 startups and invited judges to select the winners. The judges were sourced from leading startup accelerators, venture capital investment firms, utility buyers and technology commentators. This year we are doing it all over again but given the popularity of the competition, we are doubling the numbers of startup we feature – 30 startups!

The products or services nominated can cover anything related to improving the utility services sectors – whether designed for utilities, their service producers or their end users. The judges are independent and select on the basis of perceived value, practicality and innovation.

Those startups who are accepted will be featured within our dedicated startup stream. One winner will be selected and announced as part of our Asian Utility Innovators Awards which is on the evening of 24 May at Impact Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok.

If you would like to take part in the region's only Digital Utility expo attracting all the lead players in the digital infrastructure ecosystem then complete the application form and submit by 31 March 2017.
